Weld Log Subscription Agreement and Terms of Service
Version 1.1
Weldbook AI Software Terms
1. Definitions and scope
This Software Subscription Agreement and Terms of Use is between Appalachian Integrity LLC, a Virginia limited liability company, and the person or organization accepting it (you). If you accept for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. You must be at least 18. An Authorized User is a person permitted to use an individually assigned seat under your plan. Each user must accept the terms presented for that account. A seat user is responsible for that user's own conduct; the subscription holder is responsible for administering its seats and permissions.
Software means Weldbook AI, Pipe ISO Drafter AI, Tank & PV Drafter AI, API Report Builder, their connected web features, and any app-store version expressly referring to this agreement. Your plan and order identify which tools and features you purchase. One sign-in does not mean that every paid tool or export is included.
Content means the records, measurements, photographs, logos, drawings, text and files you supply, and your substantive work within them. Output means a report, drawing, log, calculation, export, suggestion or other result produced through the Software. An Order is the specific subscription, Credit Pack or Paid Export you affirmatively confirm after seeing its price or credit cost and applicable terms. A Subscription provides access to the identified product or tier for its stated period. A Credit is an account-recorded unit usable toward the identified Paid Exports. A Credit Pack is a one-time purchase of a stated quantity of Credits for a stated amount of money. A Paid Export is the saved report or drawing output for the snapshot, revision, sheets, supported formats and branding option identified in its export order and authorized through the Credit process in Article 8. Clean describes the purchased presentation; it does not mean inspected, checked, approved or certified by the Company. A later download retrieves that saved version and does not update it for later edits, inspections or equipment conditions. A generation or download date is not an inspection date. A credit balance does not by itself supply a required Subscription, and a Subscription does not include Paid Exports unless its Order expressly says so. A Credit is not invariably equivalent to one U.S. dollar. Buying a Credit Pack does not authorize recurring payment or automatic replenishment. Preview means a feature or price expressly marked for customer testing.
This agreement governs software access, including its use to document your work for clients. It does not engage the Company to perform an inspection, engineering, fabrication, construction, repair, or consulting service. Any future inspection services require a separate written services agreement. This software agreement neither limits nor increases responsibility under that separate agreement.
A Corporate Account is a separate office billing and access account opened for the legal person identified at setup (the Corporate Customer), which may be an entity or a sole proprietor. Creating the account does not create a legal entity or verify its identity or the representative's authority. It does not merge the personal accounts, personal Credit balances, individual subscriptions or existing QC Manager plan of its users. An Office Manager is an individual authorized by the Corporate Customer to manage its membership, app assignments, jobs and billing settings. A corporate Authorized User is an individually identified user with active office membership and the app assignments needed for the chosen work. An Office Manager's billing role is not an inspection qualification, signature authority or approval of an employee's work.
A Corporate Credit Purchase is the purchase of a stated quantity of Credits at US$1 per Credit for the office pool, recorded as an amount owed on the office bill when accepted. It is distinct from a prepaid personal Credit Pack. An Order also includes an expressly confirmed Corporate Credit Purchase or app assignment and any separately authorized recurring corporate purchase instruction. The Corporate Customer, rather than an employee merely using an assigned app, is the debtor for authorized corporate purchases and assigned app charges. This agreement does not make an employee or manager a personal guarantor merely because that person administers the account.
A Region is an administrative grouping of new Corporate Accounts created under regional administration. A Regional Manager is an individually signed-in user authorized to administer that Region and its offices. Regional administration does not create a legal entity, establish that separate businesses are one Corporate Customer, merge office billing identities or transfer one office’s debts to another office or its employees. Regional and office roles do not confer an inspection credential, engineering licence, authority to approve a report or weld, or authority to sign another person’s findings.
Weldbook AI and Pipe ISO Drafter AI are separate downloadable apps. Weldbook AI opens its weld-record and inspection-documentation tools; Pipe ISO Drafter AI opens its pipe-sketch and related documentation tools. Each app provides the features actually offered in that app and authorized for the selected account. A shared sign-in does not combine separate product subscriptions, transfer local working records between apps or authorize another product's paid features.
2. License and permitted customer work
Subject to this agreement and the applicable Order, the Company grants you a nonexclusive license to use the purchased Software during the authorized access period. You may use it for your own work and to prepare your own deliverables for employers or clients. Subject to the export option purchased and required notices, you may retain, print, and distribute authorized outputs after your subscription ends. A subscription ending does not transfer ownership of your Content to the Company.
Your permitted use of an authorized Output does not end merely because your Subscription ends. To the extent an authorized Output incorporates the Company's templates, formatting assets or other protected material, the Company grants you a nonexclusive license to retain, reproduce and distribute that material as part of that Output for your own work and your employer's or client's records, subject to its required notices and Article 3. This permission does not grant a license to redistribute the Software or extract its assets for a competing software service. It does not promise indefinite server storage or continuing access to an online copy. A team paying the export cost does not, by that payment alone, gain technical access to a user's personal reports or change rights arising under employment, client or other agreements.
The license covers only the named users and seat count in your Order. Do not share sign-in credentials, resell access, bypass payment or account restrictions, or offer the Software itself as a hosted service without written permission. Restrictions on reverse engineering, copying, or adapting the Software apply only to the extent lawful and do not override rights in separately licensed open-source components. This license does not grant permission to copy licensed code books or third-party standards.
Publicly announced future features, app-store approvals, integrations, custom design services, and marketing plans are not included unless the Order expressly includes them. Preview availability is described on its actual screen; a preview quote is not an order or a charge.
Each corporate user must use that person's own sign-in, accept the applicable user terms, and select the correct office workspace. Membership alone does not include every app. Access to an app depends on an active assignment and the office's service status. Office Managers may add or remove app assignments or deactivate office membership only when their office permissions allow the action. Those changes affect corporate access without canceling the employee's separate personal account or subscription. The Corporate Customer must promptly remove access that is no longer authorized and arrange independent delivery of needed business records before a user leaves.
Corporate outputs use the office pool and require an office job selection through the supported output controls, including for a free field copy. A job number and billing entry are accounting context, not proof that an inspection occurred or a deliverable was approved. The Corporate Customer and its users may retain and use authorized outputs within Article 2's existing output license after corporate access ends, subject to their underlying rights and required notices. Continued permission to use a saved copy is distinct from continued access to a server copy.
Regional administration is separate from paid app access. A Regional Manager can administer offices within that person’s authorized Region, but that role alone does not supply office membership, an app assignment or access to inspection documents. Each office retains its own users, app assignments, jobs, Credits and bill. The regional controls create new offices; they do not move existing standalone offices into a Region or move offices between Regions.
For an app obtained through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard end-user license agreement applies to the downloaded app unless a different license is expressly supplied through that store. This agreement also governs the Company's account-based software service. Applicable mandatory store terms and nonwaivable rights continue to apply. Installation of a free app does not by itself purchase a paid subscription or output.
3. Inspection documentation; no engineering or construction use
3.1 Purpose. The Software helps field workers record, organize, draw, and format their own inspection information. Buying or using it does not mean the Company inspected equipment, reviewed a weld, approved a design, or certified a report. It is not an emergency service, an engineering design system, a fitness-for-service assessment, or a substitute for required qualifications, measurements, tests, and professional judgment.
3.2 Drawings and survey locations. Drawings and roll-outs are inspection reference sketches, not to scale or instructions for fabrication, erection, construction, repair or installation. Verify entered dimensions against the equipment and controlled source documents; do not derive cut lengths, fit-up, structural adequacy, pressure capability or safe operation from the picture. Default nozzle CML positions are blank recording locations, not a required or sufficient inspection plan. Select locations and methods for the actual equipment and record access limitations. An insulation or no-access entry is not a thickness reading or acceptance finding; a retained earlier reading remains historical. Repad outlines and entered measurements do not establish reinforcement adequacy or code compliance. A printed scale, logo, title block or clean export does not change these limits.
3.3 Calculations and S. Calculation results depend on your inputs and the governing code, edition, material, condition, geometry, units, temperature, joint factors, corrosion allowance, and other applicable rules. Where a formula asks for S, enter the allowable stress from the applicable code table for the exact material and the temperature required for that calculation. Check the units. Operating temperature is not automatically the correct design or calculation temperature. Do not accept an example, default, suggested number, or color indicator as a verified code value. Verify the calculation independently before using it in an inspection decision.
3.4 Automation. Text parsing, image or speech recognition, generated text, acronym expansion, autofill and other automated features can omit facts, misunderstand units, select an incorrect meaning, or produce plausible errors. OpenAI-powered text assistance proposes wording or asks for clarification; applying a suggestion changes the selected text and does not itself draw, calculate, save or issue work. Review suggestions and any saved terminology before use. Previous-report import may omit information, especially in long, scanned or unsupported material. Check each proposed fact against its identified source, page and quotation, resolve contradictions, and verify that it concerns the correct asset and inspection. Historical readings are not current readings; a comparison of recorded values is not by itself a corrosion-rate calculation or acceptance decision. A comparison with previous reports does not establish that an omitted finding was repaired or that equipment is safe. Custom Reports adapts an uploaded example or template; check every finished page for incorrect placement, old answers, signatures, photographs and printed content. A saved layout is not approval of later reports. Deterministic calculations can also be wrong when assumptions, formulas, or inputs are wrong. Missing data is unknown, not zero or acceptable. A lack of warnings does not establish safety or compliance.
3.5 Codes and checklists. API, ASME, AWS and other names identify references, not endorsement. The Company does not supply a licensed copy of a code book through these tools. Checklist prompts are starting points for the user's inspection scope; they are not an exhaustive API 510, API 570, API 653, or other compliance checklist. Confirm the governing edition, inspection method, exclusions, owner requirements and jurisdictional rules, and add applicable items.
3.6 Review and reliance. Before issuing a report or acting on a result, a suitably qualified person must verify the underlying measurements, dimensions, calculations, code references, findings and completeness, and perform any independent review required by law or the governing standard. Obtain a licensed engineer where required. The Company does not provide that review by supplying the Software. These responsibilities do not waive a claim for the Company's own legally actionable conduct.
3.7 Corporate work. For work issued through a Corporate Account, the Corporate Customer must arrange for that review by a person qualified and authorized for the work, and the person issuing the work must confirm that the required review has occurred. A job number, employee assignment, available Credit balance, payment status, output authorization, limit setting or Regional Manager or Office Manager action does not satisfy the review requirement. Identify the actual preparer and any actual reviewer in the issued work as applicable; do not attribute a review or signature to a person merely because that person administers or pays for the account. Retain the issued revision and any review records required by the governing standard, client agreement or employer program. These duties concern the customer's work and do not change Appalachian Integrity's duties under a separate inspection-services agreement.
4. Your responsibilities and shared work
Use the Software only for work you are qualified and authorized to perform. Obtain rights to enter facility information, personal details, photographs, logos and client materials. Check facility confidentiality, photography, export-control and information-security requirements before uploading. Do not upload sensitive or restricted information into a feature that your employer or client has not approved.
Keep complete independent copies of your working records and issued deliverables in a repository that meets your retention obligations. Before issuing a standard or Custom Report, check every rendered page, field, attachment, expanded acronym, source date and signature. Remove or clearly identify old answers, photographs, marks and signatures retained from an example report. A saved default controls presentation; it does not verify future inspection evidence or certify that all prior content was removed. Confirm that the saved file opens and contains the intended revision, current measurements and authorized approvals. The Software does not independently sign or certify findings.
Crew managers control seat access and should promptly remove users who no longer need it. Shared crew jobs are visible to permitted crew members and managers. Do not place a private job into a shared workspace unless you intend that access. A connected personal report is not automatically shared with every crew member; use only sharing functions actually offered and review the intended recipient.
5. Acceptable use
Keep records truthful and identify uninspected or inaccessible items accurately. Respect client confidentiality, intellectual property, account assignments and technical access controls. Do not upload licensed code books or templates without the required rights, disrupt the service or harvest other users' information. Preserve the notices required by the purchased output, and do not present a draft as a finalized issue. These duties do not prohibit lawful criticism, regulator complaints, good-faith payment disputes or other protected activity. In particular, do not falsify inspection or qualification records, impersonate a reviewer, fabricate a signature or approval, conceal required attribution, upload unlawful material, or attempt unauthorized access to another person's account or records. Clearly identify examples and training records so they cannot be mistaken for completed work.
Report a suspected security issue or incorrect result to john@appalachianintegrity.com with enough information to reproduce it, while minimizing confidential information. The Company may investigate suspected misuse and enforce access restrictions but does not undertake to inspect, monitor, or validate every record.
6. Your content, connected storage and retention
6.1 Ownership and service permission. As between you and the Company, you retain your rights in Content. You give the Company permission to host, process, transmit, resize, format and display Content only as needed to provide the features you use, secure and support them, and comply with law. This is not permission to publish your records or use them in unrelated client work. The Company retains its Software, templates, formatting assets and trademarks; that does not prevent your permitted use of an authorized output.
6.2 Device storage. Weldbook individual working records and some drafter work are held in the browser or app on the device. Clearing browser storage, changing devices, using a different browser profile, or losing the device can make those records unavailable. The Company cannot restore a record for which it holds no server copy. Signing in elsewhere does not by itself move local work.
6.3 Server storage. Account, billing, credit-ledger and security records are held on the server. Crew sharing, optional sync or upload, saved API report drafts, and drawing/report preparation send selected Content to the server. Preparing an export preview stores the selected input snapshot and generated preview even if you do not complete the paid export. Completed export files and their identified revision are separate from the editable working draft. Team payment records can identify the actor and export reference; payment alone does not share the actor's personal artifact with the payer. Review the relevant workspace and sharing controls. Authorized administrators and service providers may access stored information as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot and support the selected features or comply with law. The Privacy Policy explains these categories; this permission does not extend to unrelated inspection work or undisclosed training use.
Selected text and relevant context submitted for AI assistance, and selected previous-report text or images used for extraction, are processed through OpenAI. Assistance exchanges, reviewed terminology and source references may be stored with your account. Saved Custom Reports layouts retain reusable formatting, supported current-report field bindings and company branding within the user and office context. Entered fields and content classified for clearing are removed from the reusable layout, but original printed content deliberately kept may remain. This does not erase the uploaded original or promise that every old answer was detected. You must have permission to upload and reuse source reports, templates, logos and their content.
6.4 Retention limits. The Software supplies working storage and output services, not an archival records-management service or your system of record. You remain responsible for your own complete copies and retention obligations under an employer program, client contract or applicable law. A stated deletion period is a deletion rule, not an assurance against earlier accidental loss or corruption; it does not authorize the Company to disregard an express availability commitment or a legal duty. Capacity limits are not retention periods. Different rules apply to drafts, previews, completed export content, transaction history, acceptance evidence, request records and backup or mirror copies. The Company retains identifiable records only for supported service, financial, security or legal purposes, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. An append-only financial record does not require permanent preservation of all related Content. The Company cannot recover device-only work it never received and does not promise recovery after loss or deletion. This section does not excuse delivery or correction of a paid export under Article 8.
6.5 Export, deletion and changes. Keep complete independent copies using available backup and export controls. For server-held information, request assistance or deletion through the privacy contact or an available account-deletion route identified in the Privacy Policy. Removing a draft, signing out, canceling renewal or uninstalling an app does not by itself delete all server records or copies distributed to others. The Company will identify relevant retained categories and lawful reasons when fulfilling a request. A required personal-data copy, correction, deletion or other nonwaivable privacy right is not conditioned on purchasing a clean export or credits. The Company will give reasonable advance notice before a planned material reduction in access or a new routine deletion schedule, and honor applicable law and existing contractual commitments. Immediate protective restrictions may be necessary for a security incident or legal requirement. This article does not excuse failure to meet legally required privacy, security or disclosure duties.
6.6 Corporate workspaces and access changes. Corporate Account records held on the server include office and membership details, app assignments, job identifiers, purchase settings, Credits granted and used, billing and payment references, statements, consent evidence and administrative audit history. Office Managers can see employee identity and the office usage metadata presented in statements, including app, output reference, job and Credit entries. This billing role does not automatically give a manager access to every employee's saved report or drawing content. Server-saved Suite drafts, export previews and issued files have their own user and office access controls. Office Weldbook working records that remain only in a browser are not made into server backups by the corporate subscription. Selecting an office uses separate local working storage; it does not automatically upload or move personal drafts.
Corporate payment and technical access controls do not determine ownership between an employee, employer and client. Those rights depend on their applicable agreements and law. As between the Company and the relevant rights holder, the Company does not acquire ownership of their substantive Content or contributions to Output by administering billing, storing a file or formatting an export. The limited service permission in Section 6.1 applies. Corporate audit and usage information identifies people and work and is not described as anonymous. The Company may use genuinely de-identified technical information for service operation, security and improvement; that permission does not authorize mining identifiable inspection records for unrelated purposes or training use that has not been separately disclosed and authorized as required.
After office cancellation, an active office member may retrieve that member's own previously issued outputs while the files remain available. Inactive members cannot retrieve office files through ordinary account access. An Office Manager does not automatically gain another author's files. This exception permits retrieval of existing issued files, not new editing or output purchases. Before removing access, arrange authorized handover and keep independent copies. Contact support concerning inaccessible required records; identity, authority, the affected records and applicable duties must be assessed. These access rules do not limit a lawful delivery, correction, refund or personal-data remedy.
For offices created within a Region, authorized Regional Managers can obtain the office roster, app assignments, access status, permitted usage statements and administrative information presented by the regional controls. Office Managers act within their delegated permissions. These roles do not automatically open personal work or another author’s saved inspection reports, drawings or issued files. Existing author and office access controls, underlying content rights, independent-copy duties and authorized handover requirements continue to apply.
Each mobile app keeps its own local working storage on the current device. A supported upload or sharing action transfers the selected material as described in the Privacy Policy. Use the offered working-file or output controls to keep the copies you need; installing another app or signing in on another device does not itself copy local work. Where an output is shared to another app or recipient, verify the saved file and intended destination. The recipient's copy is separate from the editable working record and from the Company's server copy.
7. Accounts and security
Provide an email address you control and accurate account information, use a strong unique password, keep your device secure, and promptly report suspected compromise. Use additional authentication where the actual account screen offers it. The Company does not claim that every app account has identity verification or mandatory two-factor authentication.
Where remembered sign-in is offered, access uses a separate token for the device. Use the offered sign-out-all and password-security controls when a device is lost or access is compromised. Revocation ends the relevant authentication access; it does not erase local files, account work, financial history or independently saved exports. Additional authentication protecting the Company's administrator tools does not mean every customer account uses multi-factor authentication.
The Company uses access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the service. No system is guaranteed secure. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data practices; this agreement does not transfer the Company's own statutory security obligations to you. Account access, active subscriptions, purchased exports and crew permissions are separate records. A trial or subscription for one product does not authorize another product's paid features.
The Corporate Customer must designate Regional Managers and Office Managers who have authority for the actions they take, keep those designations and permissions current, and promptly remove obsolete office access through the available controls. A Regional Manager may set the supported permissions for Office Managers of an office within that manager’s authorized Region. An Office Manager cannot raise those permissions or change the Regional Manager’s office limit. Each person must act within the granted authority. A role, permission or limit setting does not itself authorize a new purchase, a changed recurring instruction or a new payment method; the required transaction disclosure and authorization remain separate. It does not authorize action for an unrelated office or make a user Appalachian Integrity’s agent. Recorded account activity may be evidence of an action, but a role label alone does not conclusively establish legal authority, professional qualification or intent.
8. Prices, renewal, cancellation, suspension and refunds
8.1 Order controls. Monetary prices are in U.S. dollars unless the Order says otherwise. Before an Order is submitted, the screen must identify the product, billing period or export unit, quantity, discounts, applicable tax and the total monetary price or Credit cost, as applicable. Marketing specials apply only as stated in their offer, including their duration and later renewal price. A price labeled preview is for review and does not authorize a debit or guarantee a future price. No fee is due merely for viewing a quote.
8.2 Subscription and Credit schedule. Pipe ISO access is $14.99 per month. An active Pipe ISO Subscription or an authorized trial permits its included watermarked field output without an additional Credit deduction. Clean ISO output uses 0.5 Credit for each sheet. WELDBOOK AI attribution and required inspection-use notices remain; the supported clean ISO option includes a company name rather than a company logo.
Tank & PV Drafter AI access is $19.99 per month under its current monthly plan. A supported tank or vessel PDF/print output uses 1 Credit per selected sheet. A supported editable CAD output uses 5 Credits per file. The confirmation identifies the selected sheets or files, formats, revision, branding and total Credit cost before issue. Retrieving the same unchanged paid issue again does not use additional Credits. A new issue of edited work is a separately confirmed export. The price does not represent professional review, certification, unrestricted form recreation or custom design services. Required inspection-use and attribution notices remain.
API Report Builder finished output uses 1 Credit per report page, including attached tank or vessel pages, and 0.5 Credit per attached ISO drawing page. The prepared preview identifies the actual page count and itemized Credit total before you authorize issue. Creating, editing, saving and viewing drafts, and previewing or locking a Custom Reports layout, do not deduct output Credits. Locking a layout saves the reviewed layout as your default for future reports in the same user and office context; it does not purchase or issue a report. Retrieving the same unchanged paid issue again does not use additional Credits. Previously issued reports retain their original price. A new issue of edited work requires a separate confirmation. Separate editable CAD output remains subject to its stated file rate.
AI assistance is subject to the allowance displayed for the work. The current ordinary allowance is a provider-cost ceiling of US$0.01 and ten attempts per artifact, whichever is reached first; report summaries, form assistance, mapping and text assistance share that allowance. Previous-report extraction has a separate cumulative provider-cost ceiling of US$0.03 and ten attempts per saved report. Revisions do not reset these allowances. Uncertain provider requests may retain a reservation against the allowance and are not automatically retried. These internal provider-cost ceilings are not customer Credit charges, a guarantee of a particular number of successful responses, or a promise to complete every import. Changes affecting an accepted purchase remain subject to Article 13.
Credit Packs contain 25 Credits for $25, 100 Credits for $85, 250 Credits for $175, or 1,000 Credits for $500. These are one-time purchases in U.S. dollars. The purchase screen shows the applicable total and any tax before confirmation. The number of Credits in the pack and the amount of money paid are recorded separately. Subscription time is not included in a Credit Pack.
Weldbook AI Independent Inspector access is $9.99 per month. QC Manager access is $399.99 per year including five seats, with each additional seat adding $85 to the annual price. For a confirmed addition under the current annual plan, the additional amount applies at the next annual renewal, with the existing renewal date retained and no immediate prorated charge. For example, six seats renew at $484.99 per year. The confirmation must identify the resulting total and renewal date before you authorize the change. A proposed change is not confirmed merely because an on-screen seat count was edited.
Only payment methods actually enabled on the purchase screen may be used. An unavailable checkout is not an offer of credit or a representation that payment was received. Future changes remain subject to Sections 8.5 and 13 and applicable law.
8.3 Recurring charges. A subscription renews automatically only if the purchase screen clearly says so and you affirmatively authorize recurring billing. It must display the renewal amount and interval, when billing begins, any trial or promotional conversion, and how to cancel. Before you consent to recurring billing, the Company must provide a retainable acknowledgment containing the applicable renewal terms, cancellation policy and instructions, and any trial or promotional conversion terms. A trial without payment authorization does not silently become a paid subscription. Credit Pack purchases and Credit deductions for Paid Exports are not recurring subscriptions.
8.4 Cancellation. Cancellation must be at least as easy as enrollment and available through the same means used to enroll. For website subscriptions other than the corporate arrangements in Sections 8.9–8.12, use the self-service subscription controls reached from Account. Online cancellation must be available without requiring a conversation with a person or chatbot. If a control fails, contact john@appalachianintegrity.com; this additional support route does not replace or limit the required cancellation method. Cancellation stops future renewal and leaves access through the paid period unless you request immediate closure or a justified restriction applies. Deleting an app or clearing browser data does not cancel a subscription. If an app-store billing option is offered, its purchase screen identifies the seller and the store's subscription-management route. Corporate arrangements provide their cancellation controls in Billing as described in Sections 8.9–8.12; legally required cancellation rights apply to those arrangements as well.
8.5 Price changes and terms. A new recurring price applies only prospectively, with advance notice identifying the change, its effective date and the cancellation route, and fresh consent where required. It does not alter a completed export purchase. Notice periods required by law and the existing Order control; the Company does not shorten them by posting a new page.
8.6 Credit purchase and export delivery. Personal prepaid Credit Pack Credits are added after verification of the processor's payment confirmation. Corporate Credit Purchases instead follow Section 8.9: the accepted purchase creates the stated payment obligation and Credits in the office pool before collection. Neither a wallet balance nor return from card setup represents money received by the Company. Returning from checkout alone is not payment verification. Before you confirm a Paid Export, the screen identifies its revision, included sheets and formats, branding option, payer and Credit cost. Credits are reserved while the export is generated and deducted only when its complete purchased files have been generated and stored for delivery. A failed generation releases the reservation; an interrupted generation may require recovery before the held Credits become available again.
Repeating the same purchase request or downloading the same completed purchased files again does not use additional Credits. No additional Credit deduction for re-downloading a saved export is a pricing rule, not a promise of indefinite online storage; Article 6 applies without reducing the delivery, correction or refund obligations in this Article. An edited revision or an expressly requested new export is a separate action only after its new Credit cost is displayed and confirmed. Editing a draft does not change the already purchased files. Contact support if a completed export cannot be retrieved, contains the wrong purchased revision or formats, or was charged more than once. Redelivery, correction and applicable refund rights under Section 8.7 remain available. A statutory data-access or portability request is governed separately by Section 6.5 and does not require a Paid Export.
8.7 Refunds and corrections. Releasing a generation reservation restores the availability of the held Credits; it is not a refund to a payment card. Correcting a duplicate or erroneous Credit deduction likewise restores Credits rather than charging or refunding a card. The Company will correct duplicate deductions and provide redelivery, restored Credits or the applicable money refund for a paid item it cannot deliver. Restored Credits do not replace a money refund or other remedy required by law.
Except for required statutory or store remedies, unused Subscription time is normally not refunded following voluntary cancellation. The Company will refund duplicate money charges and the unused prepaid portion if it permanently ends the purchased service without your breach. Section 13's remedy applies if you decline a material amendment. Any refund attributable to unused purchased Credits is based on the money actually paid for those Credits, including the pack discount, rather than assuming that each Credit cost one dollar. Refunded Credits are removed from the wallet, and the same loss is not paid twice.
If the processor refunds a Credit Pack payment, the associated Credits may be reversed proportionately. If those Credits have already been spent, the resulting negative balance is recorded and new Paid Exports may be unavailable pending reconciliation. The balance entry does not itself authorize a new card charge, a collection fee or a penalty. The Company will review disputed entries and correct an erroneous reversal. Making a good-faith payment dispute does not itself forfeit unrelated valid purchases, waive remedies or establish misconduct. Contact john@appalachianintegrity.com for a purchase or balance review. No clause prevents a legally required refund or other nonwaivable remedy.
The Company may restrict the affected service for unpaid charges, material breach, credible security risk, or legal requirements, with notice and a reasonable chance to fix a remediable issue where practicable. Immediate restrictions must be proportionate to their reason. Closing an account is separate from canceling renewal and from deleting data. Existing statutory access/deletion rights remain available.
8.8 Wallets and account changes. Credits are recorded with the relevant personal, crew-payer or Corporate Account and retain that association when a user signs in on another device. For separate crew arrangements outside corporate billing, where an active team permits spending from its designated manager's wallet, the export confirmation identifies that payer. Users may select a team payer only within their actual authority; the Company verifies the available membership and account permissions. Team payment and report sharing are separate actions. Managers should promptly remove obsolete membership permissions and review the wallet history.
Ending a Subscription, leaving a team or changing devices does not by itself delete purchased Credits. Expired product access may still prevent a new export that requires that access. Existing paid outputs remain subject to the output rights in Article 2 and the storage limits in Article 6. The Company records purchases, reservations, deductions, releases and corrections in transaction history. A support correction records its reason; it does not silently rewrite the prior transactions.
Promotional benefits are subject to their stated valid conditions. Purchased Credits have no dormant-balance fee, automatic expiry or forfeiture under this agreement. Contact support if a promised benefit is missing from your account.
8.9 Corporate Credit purchases and monthly collection. Corporate Credits cost $1 each regardless of quantity. Accepted purchases add Credits to the office pool and create the stated dollar obligation on the office bill before payment is collected, whether or not the Credits are used. Personal prepaid pack discounts do not apply. Redemption reduces the Credit entitlement; it does not charge the purchase price again. A completed Paid Export or captured Credit entry does not mean the office's dollar invoice has been paid.
An Office Manager must separately authorize storage of the office payment method and the described off-session collection of variable bills. Card setup takes no purchase payment and reserves no funds. Later collection may fail or require authentication. The bill includes accepted Corporate Credit Purchases, employee/app fees under Section 8.10 and separately disclosed lawful adjustments or applicable tax. Billing uses UTC calendar months and collection follows the period's close; cancellation can produce a final bill. A positive amount below the processor's collection minimum remains owed and may be carried into a later bill; it is not treated as money received merely because the processor marks an invoice closed.
The manager may choose a fixed monthly purchase, threshold reloads, both or neither. Each instruction must display and retain its selected quantity, dollars per purchase, first-purchase timing and stopping route. The current monthly instruction starts in the current month after office card verification, subject to the unpaid-purchase limit, and is considered once per month. Turning it off does not undo an accepted purchase. A threshold reload buys the full selected additional quantity when available Credits are at or below the threshold and may repeat in the same month as use again reaches the threshold. For example, at 50 available Credits a 650-Credit reload adds 650, giving 700 available before other changes, and creates $650 of purchase debt. It does not top up to 650. A purchase exceeding available capacity pauses rather than being silently split. The default $500 unsecured limit alone does not support a $650 purchase. Disabling purchases does not remove app assignments or cancel office service.
8.10 Corporate employee/app fees. Current per-employee monthly base rates are Weldbook AI $9.99, Pipe ISO Drafter AI $14.99, Tank & PV Drafter AI $19.99 and API Report Builder $0 for access. Paid outputs use the separate redemption schedule in Section 8.2. Corporate billing does not migrate personal subscriptions or the existing QC Manager annual plan.
Each employee/app assigned during any part of a UTC calendar month incurs its full displayed monthly rate, with no daily proration. Assignment setup before the office's billing activation does not itself charge a preceding setup period. The same employee/app is charged once for the month, including removal and reassignment or overlapping final/monthly billing. An assignment remaining into another UTC month incurs that month's full fee. Removing membership or an app assignment ends that access immediately. Removing access or canceling does not automatically prorate an already incurred fee; duplicate/error corrections and remedies owed under this agreement or applicable law remain available.
Assignments continue to incur monthly fees during payment-related access suspension until the assignment is removed or the office is canceled. The manager can remove assignments or cancel to stop later monthly assignment charges. Before confirming assignments, the screen must identify the employee, apps, applicable rates, new current-month charge and resulting continuing assignment total. Rate changes require the applicable order confirmation, notice and consent under Sections 8.5 and 13; same-month reassignment does not silently authorize an undisclosed higher rate.
8.11 Corporate purchase capacity and payment failure. The initial unpaid-purchase limit is $500 unless a different approved amount is displayed. It controls additional Credit purchases; it is not a maximum total office bill, a spending target or a guarantee of future availability. Recorded exposure includes accepted unpaid purchases and billed app fees; current uninvoiced app fees can still be owed. Only separately arranged, settled and available collateral can increase supported capacity.
An unresolved failed bill pauses new Credit purchases. A first distinct failed bill reduces the unsecured limit to no more than $500; a second or later distinct failed bill reduces it to no more than $250. Duplicate notifications for the same failed bill do not create additional failures. Payment-related app restrictions apply after a seven-day grace period measured from the recorded unresolved failure. Paying the bill does not automatically restore a previously reduced limit. Account errors are subject to review and correction, and lawful disputes and nonwaivable rights remain protected.
The Company may review capacity after three clean paid monthly periods using recorded paid purchase demand, office membership size, payment history and configured ceilings. An increase is not promised; the current limit and any offered review controls are displayed. Owner adjustments are recorded. The Company provides notices and review rights required by applicable law. A limit change within the accepted policy does not itself authorize a different price or purchase instruction.
A deposit request asks the Company to arrange funding or return; it takes no payment, grants no Credits and creates no extra capacity. Funding, application, replenishment and return require a separate agreement and verified settlement before a deposit is treated as available collateral. This release's request form is not an automated deposit funding or return service.
8.12 Corporate cancellation and reconciliation. An Office Manager may cancel through Corporate Account online. Cancellation is effective when recorded, stops new corporate purchases and ends app assignments. A collection failure does not prevent cancellation. Valid previously incurred full-month app fees and accepted Credit purchases remain due and may be included in an authorized final collection attempt, without charging an employee/app/month or purchase twice. Personal subscriptions are separate and require their own cancellation if desired. Billing authorizations, confirmations and cancellation results must be provided in a retainable form without an output Credit charge.
Cancellation does not automatically delete records or forfeit unused purchased Credits, impose an exit penalty or create a personal guarantee. The Company reviews disputed or unused-credit balances under Section 8.7 and applicable purchase rights, distinguishing unpaid purchase corrections, refunds of money actually received and Credit restorations so the same value is not reversed twice. A displayed balance does not promise office reactivation, transfer to a personal account or indefinite online availability. The operational handling and any remedy must honor existing lawful obligations. Existing issued-output use rights remain under Article 2, and ordinary online retrieval follows Section 6.6. Nonwaivable privacy rights are not conditioned on paying disputed debt.
8.13 Regional unpaid-balance control. For an office created within a Region, the Regional Manager can set an additional limit on the office’s unpaid balance and pending app commitments shown by the Software. A new regional office starts at a zero limit until its Regional Manager sets an amount. Existing standalone offices are not placed under this control merely because regional administration is introduced.
The calculation counts accepted Credit purchases not covered by a confirmed paid invoice, unpaid invoiced app fees, accrued full-month app fees not yet included in an invoice, and pending app-assignment amounts before office billing activation. It is not a monthly spending allowance. A new calendar month does not reset the balance. Confirmed settlement of the relevant invoice releases the amounts included in that settled invoice; redeeming Credits for an output does not pay an office bill or release unpaid-balance capacity.
The control restricts new Credit purchases, including automatic purchases, and additional app commitments that increase counted exposure. It does not cancel existing app assignments, erase a valid charge, postpone ordinary invoicing or reverse a completed transaction. Continuing assignments can create further monthly app fees even when the office is at or above the limit. The Regional Manager may lower the limit below the current exposure; that restricts further spending rather than forgiving the balance or ending existing assignments. Remove assignments or cancel office service through the supported controls to stop later assignment fees, subject to Section 8.10’s existing full-month rule.
The separate unpaid-purchase capacity and payment restrictions set by Appalachian Integrity under Section 8.11 also apply. Regional permission or a higher regional limit does not increase that capacity, authorize a purchase, reserve funds on a card, change a price or make an employee a guarantor. An authorized Regional Manager may use the office billing controls, including cancellation, subject to the same required disclosures and transaction acknowledgments; the office remains the billing account.
9. Intellectual property, logos and output notices
The Company and its licensors own the Software, its code and supplied design assets. You are responsible for permission to use a company logo, third-party form or other uploaded material. An authorized report may carry your company name or logo within its purchased tier; this does not imply the Company is your inspector, engineer, certifier or business partner.
As between you and the Company, you retain your rights in your original substantive contributions embodied in an Output. The Company does not acquire your inspection findings or client records merely by formatting or exporting them. Rights in the Company's incorporated material are licensed under Article 2. Third-party rights remain with their owners, and the Company does not promise that every automated element is copyrightable or exclusive to you.
Do not remove required WELDBOOK AI attribution, a watermark required by the chosen tier, the not-to-scale notice, or other required safety statements. A clean export removes the repeated watermark only to the extent the purchased tier says so. Do not describe the retained Company branding as approval of the report. A preview or unpaid draft must not be represented as a completed paid export. When distributing your output as Article 2 permits, retain its stated inspection dates, revision, source limitations and required notices. Before issuing or relying on a saved version, verify that it is the intended revision and remains appropriate to the equipment condition and inspection purpose. The Software does not re-inspect equipment or update a previously saved output when it is downloaded again. These duties do not expand or limit the Company's responsibility under a separate professional-services agreement.
Feedback may be used to improve the Software. Feedback permission does not authorize disclosure of confidential records or transfer ownership of your underlying Content.
An office usage statement records administrative activity and Credit transactions. Its employee name, job attribution, date, output reference or charge does not by itself establish who performed an inspection, that work was performed on that date, that the output was delivered or professionally reviewed, or that equipment or personnel met an acceptance criterion. Confirm those matters from the underlying issued record and supporting evidence. When forwarding an office statement, identify it as an administrative statement and preserve this distinction. When distributing inspection work prepared with the Software, preserve the actual preparer, intended project or recipient, inspection dates, revision and applicable limitations; do not substitute a billing date or office role for them. A free field-output entry records an authorization before browser output and may exist even if printing is canceled. Captured Credits record internal redemption, not receipt of the office invoice payment.
10. Software warranties and service limits
THE SOFTWARE AND AUTOMATED OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED AS AVAILABLE. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. There is no guaranteed uptime or contractual service level unless expressly included in a separate signed order.
The Company does not warrant that every output is accurate, complete, code-compliant, accepted by an authority, or suitable for a safety decision. Article 3's independent-review duties apply. Errors, interruptions and data loss can occur.
These qualifications do not negate an express commitment in your Order, the obligation to deliver a paid export or correct an undelivered purchase under Article 8, statements on which the law permits you to rely, or any warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not apply to separately contracted professional services.
11. Limitations of liability
11.1 Responsibilities. You control your inspections, field measurements, source records, personnel qualifications and decisions to issue your own work. The Software supplies documentation assistance; the Company does not undertake to make those decisions for you. This allocation is not a release of the Company's own nonwaivable liability.
11.2 Economic losses. Subject to Section 11.4, the Company is not liable for indirect or consequential loss of profits, business opportunity or anticipated savings arising from this software agreement where such exclusion is permitted by law. Direct losses and remedies are addressed by Section 11.3, rather than being reclassified as excluded damages merely because they involve records or substitute services.
11.3 Aggregate cap. Subject to Section 11.4, the aggregate liability of the Company and its personnel for claims arising from this software agreement will not exceed the greater of (a) all Software Subscription, Credit Pack and other software fees actually paid by you to the Company under this agreement during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, counting each payment once and not counting a later Credit deduction as a second monetary payment, or (b) $100.
11.4 Express exclusions from the limits. The limitations in this agreement do not apply to death or personal injury; fraud; willful or wanton misconduct; gross negligence; liability that law prohibits limiting; or nonwaivable statutory rights and remedies. The limits do not reduce the refunds expressly owed under Article 8 or responsibility under a separate professional-services agreement. A limitation applies only if and to the extent enforceable. No term purports to preserve a limitation that a court finds invalid or a remedy that legally fails of its essential purpose.
12. Limited business indemnity
If you accept for an organization or use the Software for a trade or business, you will reimburse the Company for damages and reasonable legal costs finally awarded to an unrelated third party, or included in a settlement you approve, to the extent caused by your knowing falsification of records, your unauthorized use of that third party's intellectual property or confidential information, or your intentional unlawful misuse of the Software.
This duty does not cover the Company's negligence, defective software, privacy or security failures, misconduct, or separately provided professional services. It does not require a consumer buying for personal or household purposes to indemnify the Company. There is no automatic duty to fund a defense merely because someone makes an allegation. The Company must promptly notify you of the claim, permit reasonable participation in the defense, mitigate avoidable loss, and obtain your consent before a settlement that binds you. Consent may not be unreasonably withheld. The Company may not obtain double recovery.
13. Material changes and acceptance
This agreement takes effect upon the Company's authorized adoption and your required affirmative acceptance. A later material version applies prospectively after appropriate advance notice and affirmative acceptance. It does not rewrite the terms governing an accrued claim, a completed purchase or an earlier period.
For changes adversely affecting existing fees, liability, dispute rights or retention, the Company will provide at least 30 days' advance notice unless a longer period is required, or a shorter change is required by law or urgently necessary to address a security risk. The notice will explain the change and the available cancellation route. Continued use alone is not substituted for the recorded acceptance of a new material agreement.
If you decline a material change, you may stop using the affected service, cancel future renewal, and receive the unused prepaid portion from the date access ends due to that refusal. The Company will offer a reasonable route to obtain your existing records, consistent with privacy rights and lawful export entitlements. Prior accepted versions remain available. The acceptance record identifies the version and exact document hash.
For this purpose, the unused prepaid portion includes the amount actually paid for affected unused purchased Credits, with account corrections and any refunded Credits reconciled so the same amount is not refunded twice. A material change does not retrospectively change the Credit cost of a completed Paid Export or reduce an existing valid refund obligation.
An Office Manager's authorization of corporate billing is recorded separately from acceptance of the applicable software agreement. A new corporate billing arrangement is not imposed on a personal or QC Manager subscription merely by adding the corporate feature. Material changes to an existing corporate agreement require the notice and affirmative acceptance described in this Article. The record must identify the corporate customer, accepting person's account and authority, agreement version, exact content hash and acceptance time. Changing a current limit within the agreed policy does not authorize a different Credit purchase price, app rate or recurring purchase instruction.
14. Law and disputes
Virginia law governs this software agreement, except that it does not displace mandatory protections of another jurisdiction that apply to you. Unless mandatory law or an eligible local small-claims procedure allows a different forum, disputes may be brought in the state courts serving Craig County, Virginia, or, where federal jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Each party may seek appropriate protective relief in a competent court.
The applicable statutory limitation periods apply. This agreement does not impose a one-year deadline for every claim, waive jury trial, require arbitration, or waive class proceedings. Contacting support or attempting informal resolution does not shorten a filing deadline. No term limits complaints to a regulator or good-faith reviews of the service.
15. General terms and notices
This agreement, including its acceptable-use duties in Article 5, and the accepted Order state the software bargain. An Order controls its specific purchased product, quantity, price and term; it does not silently override Article 3 or the mandatory-law protections. The Privacy Policy describes data practices and does not eliminate statutory privacy rights. Separately contracted inspection services remain under their own agreement.
If a provision is unenforceable, it is severed only to the extent lawful and the remaining provisions operate independently where a court permits. Neither party's delay alone waives its rights. The Company may transfer this agreement with a business transfer only subject to its existing obligations and applicable notice requirements. Neither party may use assignment to evade obligations owed to the other. Neither party is the other's agent or employer.
Notices and support requests may be sent to john@appalachianintegrity.com. The Company sends account notices to your registered email and may also display them in the service. Required notices must use the delivery method and timing required by law; a failed email or an unread screen is not automatically treated as legally sufficient delivery. Keep your contact information current.
Where electronic consent is required, the actual interface must provide the separate disclosures and affirmative consent required by law, and a way to save or print the agreement. This paragraph alone does not establish that consent. Rights in your Content, valid payment/refund obligations, and provisions needed to resolve a pre-termination claim survive termination to their lawful extent.
16. Customer acknowledgment
By the specific acceptance action shown with the complete adopted agreement, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to save and read it, that you have authority to accept it, and that you understand the Software assists with inspection documentation. Drawings are not to scale or construction instructions, and qualified review is required before issuing or using your work. Acceptance of software terms is separate from authorization of any particular recurring payment or export purchase.
